Eric William Ravilious (22 July 1903 – 2 September 1942) was an English painter, designer, book illustrator and wood engraver. He grew up in East Sussex, and is particularly known for his watercolours of the South Downs. His sweet detailed work reminds us a bit of a countryside L.S. Lowry, without so many people. You can find prints of his work at Art Republic...we've got our eye on a few.
