We recently travelled to Gozo, a tiny island (8.7 miles long x 4.5 miles wide) off the coast of Malta. But despite its size, it had more than enough to keep us busy and super-relaxed for 10 days.
We stayed at the Kempinksi at San Lawrenz, a beautiful hotel with 4 restaurants, 3 pools and the best service. The surrounding areas were equally delightful, with a small village, San Lawrenz, to the left and a crafts village and great Italian restaurant, Grazie Mille, to the right.
On one of the days, we went on a jeep safari to some of the more remote areas of the island. It was great to have a whistle-stop tour and the elevated views were stunning - from the view over Comino island, then the red-sand beach of Ramla Bay, next to the salt pans, onto the sadly-no-longer-there Azure Window and finally to the beach where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie filmed By the Sea (and with everything in between).
