We're so used to seeing atypical all-white Scandanavia interiors, that when we saw this country house on the Swedish island of Gotland in Rue Magazine, we thought we were looking at somewhere in the south of France or Italy.
This home uses a beautifully serene colour palette of greys and stone, mixed with lots of wood (rustic, planed, dark, light) to create a visual flow through the rooms and complement the 18th century-style architecture. This is a sensitive restoration which has also modernised the space...but without compromising its natural beauty.
