How To : Use Metallics in Your Interiors

Whether working with modern or traditional interiors, the current trend for metallics works well in both, adding instant warmth and luxury.

Copper is the warmest of all the metallics and looks great in a singular feature piece like the battered copper bath above. We also love the way they have left the raw copper pipe as a design feature under the basin. Find a wide selection of copper baths and basins at William Holland Baths.

Copper also looks great as pendant lights above a dining table or kitchen island. These pendants are by Tom Dixon.

Brass is back, in polished, brushed or antique finishes. The taps (including handy rinse tap) are beautifully complemented by the handles on the crockery and the cupboard handles in the background. Perrin and Rowe have a good selection, as do Abode.

And if you fancy full-on metallic, try metallic mosaic tiles for the ultimate shimmer. Walls and Floors have this brick shape, and many more.

This silver bed may be a little over-the-top but it does suit the grand proportions of the room and we love it used with that beautiful wallpaper. Find beds like this at The French Bedroom Company and amazing wallpaper like this by Degournay.
